KrishiKatta is an initiative by the MahaOrganic Farmer Producer Company. Based on the concept of the village katta where farmers, villagers gather informally in the evenings to share their daily experiences, MahaOrganic through its KrishiKatta Service Centers aims at providing information, education and supplies to farmers that will help them transit from a subsistence farming system to a commercially-oriented one, thus earning a better living, and improving on food security and nutrition.
WHY KRISHIKATTA?
Serving as rural development centers that meet the needs of farmers for practicing sustainable farming, KrishiKatta provides a range of chemical alternate, ecofriendly bio agricultural inputs (seeds, bio-fertilizers, natural crop protection materials and post harvest equipment), crop advice, machinery services, veterinary services and products, training and information, marketing assistance for agricultural outputs, and access to credit for a sustainable agricultural transformation.
The service center is not a regular agri input sales shop, instead it is a rural development center that works towards providing scientific and practical knowledge, services and products to make agriculture more sustainable and economical.
By empowering educated rural entrepreneurs for becoming our network partners through establishing a KrishiKatta Service Center, we aim at stimulating rural economy.

Through the MahaOrganic brand, the company supplies certified organic produce to bulk buyers and retailers.
